What is a digital event?

A digital event can be viewed on a computer, mobile or other devices that allow streaming. This means you do not experience the event in an arena but can view it directly from your own living room!

The Bergen International Festival offers both live broadcasts and recordings of several of this year's events.

How do I watch a digital event?

The festival's ticketed digital events can be viewed on our ticket and streaming platform TicketCo after you have purchased a digital ticket or pass.

Stream on the following devices:

- Computer / laptop

- Mobile

- Tablets

- Apple TV – tvOS 13.0 or later

- Android TV – 7.0 or later

- Amazon Fire TV / Firestick

- Chromecast - 2nd generation or later

Watch at your computer / laptop, tablet or mobile

Open the email you received when you purchased the ticket. Click on 'Play / Watch'. This opens a new tab where you can click the play button to go directly to the streaming page.
Alternatively, go to www.ticketco.tv and enter the reference code (5 letters) in the ID field. Click 'Finished / Done', and you will be led to the correct streaming page.
Note that if you are watching on an Android device (mobile or tablet), we recommend opening the link in the Google Chrome browser, not in Samsung's default browser.

Google Chromecast
If you have Google Chromecast (must be 2nd generation or later) connected to your TV, this can also be used to stream the event. Open the Chrome browser on a mobile, computer or tablet and select the casting icon in the VCR.

Note that you cannot cast from browsers on iOS devices due to a restriction from Google.

On Apple TV or Android TV

  1. First, download the TicketCo app by opening the "App Store" on your Apple TV or the "Google Play Store" on Android TV. Write «TicketCo TV» in the search field. Download and open the app.
  2. Add the five-letter reference code from your ticket. When the app is open, you will be asked to add the reference code from your ticket in the ID field. Then click "Done".
  3. After confirming your reference code, you will be redirected to the event.

On Amazon Fire TV

  1. First, download the TicketCo app by opening the app store and searching for "TicketCo TV". Download and open the app.
  2. Add the reference code. Your reference code is five letters. When the app is open, you will be asked to add the reference code from your ticket in the ticket ID field. Then click "Done".
  3. After confirming your reference code, you will be redirected to the event.

Open the TicketCo link on your computer as described above, and connect an HDMI cable to your computer and TV to watch the event on your TV.

What is a digital pass and how do I use it?

A digital pass gives you access to all digital events during this year's festival, both live broadcasts and recordings.

Once you have purchased your pass, you will receive an email with a ticket.

If you want to watch events via mobile, tablet, laptop or computer, click on the "Watch" button directly on the ticket.

If you have an Apple TV or Android TV, you can download the TicketCo TV app. If you have a SmartTV, you can go to ticketco.tv. In both cases, enter the reference code found on the ticket.

As new live events or recordings become available during the festival, you can access them in the same way as above: by clicking the "Watch" button or using the reference code.

The schedule for live broadcasts will be on fib.no/programme as we near the start of the festival. Live broadcasts can only be viewed once, and it is not possible to pause or rewind the broadcasts. However, you can watch recordings with the option of English subtitles as many times as you wish until June 23.

What is a digital household ticket?

If several of you will be watching together, buying a household ticket instead of single tickets is cheaper. Note that the household ticket gives access to the broadcast / recording on one device at a time.

Pluss/minus icon

Can I share my ticket to a digital event with friends and family?

A ticket that contains a link and a reference code gives access to the live broadcast or recording on one device at a time. If you are several people who wish to view the event together, the Bergen International Festival offers both household tickets and digital group tickets. The latter also provides several links and reference codes so that it is possible to watch the event on several devices simultaneously.

Pluss/minus icon

I want to show a digital event to a larger group; how do I proceed?

Groups of more than 10 people receive a group discount, including on digital events. Contact the festival at billett@fib.no, and we will help you with tickets.

Pluss/minus icon

Can I use a gift card at a digital event?

Yes. Enter the gift card code, or reference code, in the promo code field when you purchase your tickets. Gift cards purchased from our previous ticket supplier, Eventim, can also be used.

Pluss/minus icon

My reference code doesn’t work; what do I do?

Check that you have the correct reference code. Open the email you received when you purchased the ticket. You must enter the five-letter reference code in the ID field when you are on www.ticketco.tv or the TicketCo TV app.

If the code still does not work, it could mean that you are going to watch a live broadcast but have logged in too early. Try again a little closer to when the event is scheduled to begin.

If nothing happens when you are logged in, and the countdown clock is at 0, this indicates that the organizer is experiencing some difficulties with the broadcast. In this case, a message should soon appear on the screen.

Pluss/minus icon

Why won’t the streaming play?

Try uploading the page or restarting your browser. If this doesn’t work, try another browser or device.

Pluss/minus icon

Why is the image quality of the event poor?

Poor resolution indicates that the video player has had to reduce the picture quality due to low or limited internet connection. You can manually change the broadcast quality in the control panel below the video image.

If you continue to experience difficulties with this, please switch browsers and disconnect other devices from the network.

If you still experience the quality as poor, you can try to switch browsers or leave and re-enter the internet.

Pluss/minus icon

I’m getting poor or no sound on the streaming. What do I do?

Check if the sound is turned up on both the device you are using (TV, computer, mobile, etc.) and the control panel under the VCR. On these, you can adjust the sound individually. If you still have trouble getting the sound to work, you can try reloading the page or switching browsers.

If the sound quality is poor, it may be because the internet connection is not fast enough or because of the browser. Try opening the page again, and if that does not work, try another browser.

Pluss/minus icon

Why can’t I rewind or pause?

You cannot rewind or pause a live event. When the recording becomes available, you will be able to watch it again with the option to rewind and pause.

Pluss/minus icon

I've lost my ticket, what do I do?

When making a purchase, your phone number or email address will be stored at TicketCo and used to find a ticket you may have lost.

Go to the TicketCo website and click on "Find your purchased tickets". Then follow these instructions:

  1. Confirm that you are not a robot by checking the box.
  2. Enter your email address and / or phone number.
  3. Press "Find my tickets".
  4. TicketCo will then send you a new email with your reference code.
Pluss/minus icon

I haven’t received my ticket by email, what do I do?

If you cannot see your ticket in your inbox, check the spam filter or junk mail. Remember that the sender will be TicketCo and not the Bergen International Festival.

If you still cannot find your ticket, go to the TicketCo website, click on the menu in the top right corner, and then «Find your purchased tickets». You will then receive a new email with a new unique five-letter code that you can use to access the event.

If you have questions you can not find answers to here, please contact us at billett@fib.no or via the chat.
