Artists performing at the Bergen International Festival have been invited by the Festival. The planning of each year’s Festival – 15 days of concerts and performances by the world’s leading artists within classical music, theatre, opera and dance – is an ongoing process. Projects and programmes are often developed with companies and individual artists several years in advance.
If you would like to contact us with a programme proposal, please send an email to info@fib.no.
Due to the amount of proposals received, we are unfortunately not able to reply or confirm receipt.
Every year, Bergen International Festival seeks volunteers who can work as artist contacts, administrative assistants, or audience hosts. This is a great way to get an insider's view of the festival.
Yes, the festival will reimburse tickets and gift vouchers if the event is cancelled.
You'll be contacted by our ticketing team by e-mail, SMS or phone if an event is cancelled.
You will find information about the languages used in all performances on the individual event pages on fib.no/en/programme, and in the programme catalogue.
Several of our venues, including Grieghallen and Den Nationale Scene, offer refreshments in connection with performances. Kulturhuset and Bergen Kunsthall have a café/restaurant. Some historical venues including Håkonshallen do not offer refreshments at the venue. Read more about refreshments on the venue pages.
In addition, there are many good restaurants and cafés close to our venues.
