Det Vestnorske Teateret (formerly Hordaland Teater) is a regional theatre established in 1988. It is located in Logen in the center of Bergen, near the Blue Stone.
Det Vestnorske Teateret uses Nynorsk as its administrative language and performs in Nynorsk and dialect. The theatre has a strong focus on using new dramatic works and an identity rooted in Western Norwegian culture.
Wheelchair Access: Wheelchair spaces for performances must be reserved in advance via email at publikum@detvestnorsketeateret.no
Facilities for the Hearing Impaired: Note! Applies only to the Main Stage, unfortunately not Skifte or Stage 2. Radio-based hearing assistance with a neck loop is available. There is no installed induction loop in the auditorium, but the theatre provides induction loop receivers that you can borrow, which can be used throughout the auditorium for all performances where the actors use microphones. The induction loop receiver can be used if you have a hearing aid or cochlear implant. If you have hearing loss but do not use a hearing aid, you can still use the receiver, but you will also need to borrow headphones. Feel free to order in advance: publikum@detvestnorsketeateret.no or call 55 22 20 20
