Gamlehaugen

Gamlehaugvegen 10

Gamlehaugen is the King’s residence in Western Norway. From 1898 to 1925, the property belonged to former Prime Minister Christian Michelsen, who built the castle-like villa in 1900. Today, a museum section in the building is open to the public. The elaborate and well-preserved interior takes visitors back in time, with dragon style décor, a large art collection, taxidermied animals, and Rococo furniture.
