A wondrous Sunday walk in the composer's garden.
The big annual family day during the Bergen International Festival is a cherished and popular tradition. Here, the magical surroundings are set for beautiful, strange and exciting experiences for children of all ages as they explore the large outdoor area that envelops the fairytale-like house the composer Harald Sæverud (1897–1992) had built in 1939.
Along the adventure trail, there are many activities, a real sound forest and oddities and creatures you have never seen before. Would you like to try your hand as a puppeteer? Or would you rather make something in the workshop? It is also rumoured that Nøkken still lives in the lake at Siljustøl ...
Harald Sæverud drew inspiration from nature, loved owls and walked barefoot in the grass every morning after drinking a glass of seawater from the nearby fjord, Korsfjorden. Among the twittering birds, tree crowns, streams, and paths in the nature palace that is Siljustøl, you can walk around in the composer's own artistic world.
Inside the composer's house, there will be tours and musical adventures with pianist Rune Alver.

Please note that Nøkken can be frightening to small children.
