Brass ensemble with flair!
During the Bergen International Festival, the Festival square will burst into life. Here, like last year, the The Norwegian Naval Forces Band (SFMK) will deliver this year's first concert on to kickstart the event series on the free stage.
The professional orchestra has excelled in performing new music, with critically acclaimed albums, world premieres, and celebrated festival appearances on its resume. The 27 musicians perform concerts throughout the west coast of Norway as well as ceremonial duties for the Norwegian Armed Forces.
For the Festival square, SFMK comes with a brass ensemble, and composers including Pat Metheny and Joe Zawinul are featured in the programme. So come join us and sway, wave and dance along!
