Brass quintet with Nordic music and Hardanger fiddle.
BrassUnit was founded in 2020 after its members met at a course in Vänersborg. Today, BrassUnit is a well-established brass quintet performing on chamber music stages throughout the Nordic region. The winners of the Nordic Wind Competition have a strong ambition to develop the genre and have already premiered several new works.
In this concert, the programme is dedicated to the Nordic repertoire. BrassUnit will premiere a new piece by Anne Hytta, joined by the composer herself on the Hardanger fiddle, alongside music by Swedish composer Anders Hillborg and Danes Mogens Andresen and Axel Jørgensen.
