Institutions in a turbulent time.
In a world where organised, rule-based democracy is under threat, institutions are more important than ever. The dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden, the Norwegian Constitution, the Norwegian Parliament, and even the Royal Family are examples of institutions that represent a framework for ensuring both innovation and the preservation of traditions.
In the podcast Det store bildet (The Big Picture), hosts Sofie Høgestøl and Eirik Bergesen look beyond the weekly news and search for the broader trends in Norway and around the world.
The political commentator duo has previously filled various festival venues with their analyses and discussions. This year, the conversation will take place at Gamlehaugen, the royal residence in Western Norway that was once the home of former Prime Minister Christian Michelsen. Before the conversation, there will be an introduction to the history of Gamlehaugen.
