Sonata by Edvard Grieg in Bergen’s town square.
Canadian violinist James Ehnes and pianist Orion Weiss from the USA have been performing together for years. They are known for their musical chemistry and technical skill, as well as their energy on stage.
They will perform Grieg’s three sonatas in the atmospheric Håkonhallen, but earlier the same day, there will be a free excerpt at the Festival square.
– We would be honored to play Grieg in the public square of the composer’s own city, the violinist says on behalf of the duo.

'Ehnes and Weiss were unfailingly enjoyable'.
