Energetic anniversary concert.

Young string players take to the Festival square this evening with a programme featuring Grieg, Mozart, Blömer, and Skalkottas. The occasion is the 25th anniversary of the Regnbuen orchestra, and the audience is invited to a musical celebration with a lively pace, featuring Greek dances and a journey into the hall of the mountain king.

Regnbuen children and youth orchestra is one of the largest orchestral communities for young string players in Bergen. The orchestra, with members aged 6 to 17, is divided into several levels, and for this concert, it is the chamber orchestra’s youth musicians who will be performing.

Over the years, several members of Regnbuen have gone on to become professional musicians, winning awards in national music competitions and securing positions in Norway’s symphony orchestras.
