The Norwegian Naval Forces Band's ten-piece ensemble, led by performing leader and trumpeter Børge Styve, will take to the Festival square’s free stage. Their programme features both high-paced and leisurely folk and traditional music from the Balkans, the UK, Norway, and the southern United States. Expect energy, flair, and a festive atmosphere!
The musicians of The Norwegian Naval Forces Band perform concerts throughout Western Norway and carry out ceremonial duties for the Norwegian Armed Forces. This professional orchestra has distinguished itself particularly in contemporary music, with critically acclaimed albums, world premieres, and performances at prestigious festivals.
