where it chomps on bamboo
all day long. The teddy bear in black and white has become an important symbol
of conservation because, unfortunately, there are few pandas left in the world.Hildegunn's
tribute to the Chinese bear. With the help of a trumpet, the ancient
Scandinavian instrument “bukkehorn” made from the horn of a billy goat or ram, a
saxophone and several other instruments, Hildegunn and her friends Olav and
Niclas perform the story about the panda where both adults and children may learn
something new. The music is full of contrasts and surprises with fun stretches
and moments of tenderness.
concert is an adaptation of trumpeter Hildegunn Øiseth’s commissioned piece Panda
which had its world premiere during the Trondheim Jazzfest
last year. There,
