Peaches is a Canadian musician, producer, director, visual artist and performance artist. In 2000, she released her ground-breaking album The Teaches of Peaches, an iconic release that has since found its way onto many a credible list of best albums of the year / decade / century.
This year, Peaches embarks on an anniversary tour for the album, which includes the hit and "signature song" Fuck the Pain Away. In Grieghallen, The Teaches of Peaches will be performed in its entirety in her explosive, captivating and mesmerizing way.
Peaches crosses boundaries in many ways: Her music mixes genres such as hip hop, punk rock and electronic music and addresses such issues as gender politics, age discrimination and sexual identity. With her playfulness towards and focus on gender identity and sexuality, Peaches has become a cult symbol in popular culture.
During her long career, she has worked and toured with bands and musicians such as Yoko Ono, M.I.A., Kim Gordon, R.E.M., and Queens of the Stone Age. Her music has also been used in movies and TV series such as The Handmaid's Tale, Sex Education, This Way Up, Mean Girls and Lost in Translation.
