Closing concert for Bergen Children's Choir Festival
Concert finale for a choir marathon with the city's children's choirs .
The children's choir marathon concludes with a concert in Grieghallen.
The city centre swells with song and young voices this Saturday in June when the Bergen Children's Choir Festival kicks off. On an outdoor stage set up for the occasion on Torgallmenningen, the city's children's choirs get to perform and have fun. Throughout the day, a number of the city's children's choirs associated with Ung i Kor - Vest will present mini-concerts lasting around ten minutes each.
The festival's theme is 'the ocean', and in the afternoon there will be a closing concert in Spissen in Grieghallen where the Øygarden Cultural School Choir will perform together with Edvard Grieg Kor and its youth choir and girls' choir. The programme includes songs such as På havets bunn står skutene (On the seabed lie the ships), Brennmaneten (The Jellyfish) and Sommernatt ved fjorden (Summer's night by the fjord).
