Norwegian artist Constance Tenvik (b. 1990) is based in Berlin and Oslo. She has a master's degree in visual arts from Yale University School of Art and a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Arts in Oslo. With a multidisciplinary starting point, ranging from sculpture, performance, textile works, costumes, painting, drawing and video with a streaming aesthetic, Tenvik creates worlds within worlds with her total installations.
In May, Constance Tenvik will set up base at the restaurants at Bergen Børs Hotel to meet and paint extraordinary people, unique profiles and renowned artists for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The portraits are completed during the meal and published on Instagram and fib.no.
The time of the meetings will not be announced, but if you happen to see someone pull out their paint and brushes in the middle of the meal, you know what’s going on.
There will also be a small exhibition of Constance Tenvik's earlier works at Bergen Børs Hotel.
Tenvik’s previous solo presentations include Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo, Young Artists’ Society & Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, Kristiansand Kunsthall og Loyal Gallery in Stockholm.
