Young string players from Western Norway.
The chamber orchestra Camerata Bergen is made up of young string players from Western Norway, all current or former students of Young Talents Bergen (UTB). This talent development initiative, led by Per Gisle Haagenrud at Bergen Kulturskole, has been fostering musicians from the region for more than a decade.
In this concert, young and even younger musicians perform side by side under the direction of violinist Johanne Haugland. Pianist Leif Ove Andsnes joins as the soloist in Haydn’s Piano Concerto, with a programme also featuring works by Glass, Veress, and the Bergen composer and conductor Johan Ludwig Mowinckel Jr.
