Seagull song for wind quintet.
Cumulus Quintet was formed in Copenhagen in 2022 out of a shared musical passion and a close friendship both on and off the stage.
Despite the five musicians now living in four different countries, they regularly come together to develop their own repertoire and musical expression. In 2023, the quintet won the Nordic Wind Competition, and its members are active in various European orchestras and boast numerous awards in international competitions and prestigious grants.
In this performance, the quintet performs works by Ligeti, Nielsen, and Peder Barratt-Due, the latter of which is inspired by the seagulls of Bergen.
