The classical core of the festival offers something for everyone.
Performing Grieg's A minor concerto is soloist Shani Diluka, and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Shostakovich's 10th Symphony. Ensemble Allegria performs the Holberg Suite, and in Håkonshallen, Truls Mørk shares the stage with Håvard Gimse. Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino plays Ravel, Bach, and Chopin at Troldhaugen, and Swiss-Italian Francesco Piemontesi features Mozart, Schubert, and Liszt on his programme in Håkonshallen.

Music for deep listening, as well as pop, folk, and both experimental and classical hits are scattered throughout this year's programme.
Sam Amidon performs with Frode Haltli's Avant Folk, and the Japanese band Asa-Chang & Junray will perform their unique tabla music at Østre. Bára Gísladóttir's compositions are performed by the BIT20 Ensemble, and cellist Inga Margrete Aas will present her own works.
